Citizens in Dialogue

SAMGI's programmes are designed to fulfil the communication, gender awareness and critical media needs of the Southern African Region.

The Citizens in Dialogue programme aims to promote human rights by increasing the range of voices heard at all levels of society.

Citizens in Dialogue Projects

  • Women! Turn up the Volume: 3 Rural communities on the West Coast
  • Internet Radio a web based archive or radio programs, which can be accessed locally, nationally and internationally. These programs will be gathered from our grassroots network in the communities we work in on the continent.
  • Mambo – Women's Rights are Human Rights. An easy to read cartoon format booklet, discussing the Bill of Rights in a context that our grassroots constituencies can relate to. Training tools – CD ROM and Training Manual, accompany this innovative access to information.
  • Prison's Programme. A program comprising various aspects of our work for inmates and warders. There are high levels of violence and abuse in our prisons.
